Dear Friends:
When we left the District Meeting in 2005, Paducah, KY was going to host this years’ meeting. But, the old convention center is not up to par and the new one was not going to be finished in time. So, Louisville has graciously agreed to help me co-host this years’ meeting.
It will be May 21st – 23rd. I know that is Mother’s Day weekend but, we had no other dates available. It will be at Louisville’s Downtown Marriott. You will need to make your reservations direct by calling the Hotel at 800-533-0127. Be sure to mention that you are with the Wilbert District Meeting to get the group rate of $119.00. The deadline for reservations is April 15. The address is 280 W. Jefferson Street.
There are many activities available in Louisville, KY. There will be Golf for those interested on Sunday. The course is Fuzzy Zoellers Covered Bridge Golf Course. The green fee is $70.00 plus cart. We have an opportunity to go to Churchill Downs or to a Louisville Star Dinner Cruise. And there is always gambling at Caesars’. Please indicate on the reservation sheet that is included. Like last year, please send the form back even if you do not intend to attend.
I hope that we can see many of you there. I will be including a tentative schedule of events and a city guide.
